Candle Lighting Ceremony

 
The African American Cultural Center (Us) and Mayor Omar Bradley and the City Council of Compton will host an ingathering of the community where representatives from various organizations will light the Kwanzaa candles, make positive wishes for the coming year and enjoy beautiful exchanges, excellent cultural entertainment and refreshments. Jointly officiating Dr. Maulana Karenga, executive director, African American Cultural Center (Us), and creator of Kwanzaa; and Dr. Amen Rahh, member, Compton City Council.
Suggested entrance ticket: Clean, warm coats or blankets for the homeless
